Porn: It just keeps getting worse and more vile |
|
This article contains references to sites that most would
find vile and offensive. If you have a proclivity to porn addiction
please consider not reading this article. |
|
|
My intention is not to feed your addiction but to illustrate
how bad it is getting. Do not read this article if you believe
you will be negatively affected by discussion of vile sites on
the internet.
Porn has taken on a drastic change with the advent of the
internet and the unlimited competition for viewers. This has
nuclear-bombed the envelope in what is porn and what is sex between
consenting adults.
Pornography used to be some semblance of a plot, poor dialogue
then quickly jumping in the sack. Usually one guy and one gal
participating in mutual pleasure, although mostly favoring the
man. There would sometimes be the edgy videos where more than
2 people would participate. But that was basically the genre.
The internet has taken this to a whole new level... (click

INTERNET SAFETY TIPS |
|
The Internet is worldwide and wildly unregulated. It is estimated,
as of Sept 2007, there were 1.73 trillion people using the Internet,
or a 225% growth increase since 2000. In the USA, 210,575,287
Internet users as of May 07 (69.7% penetration-Nielsen). Question:
Would you consider letting your child drive an automobile without
first getting a valid driver's license? |
|
World Wide Web surfing tips (as close to a license as you
may get):
- Always know the website address you are entering. Don't guess.
Internet porn companies by thousands of misspelled URL's (web
addresses) hoping you will make a mistake. They know even one
exposure can 'hook' someone.
- There are over 420 million pornographic web pages on the
Internet. If someone accidentally visits a bad site, encourage
your children to communicate this to you. Pornography is highly
addicting and imprints the mind with images.
- Keep the computer in an open area and consider using the
Covenant Eyes Accountability software and/ or Filtering program.
The program removes temptation promoting responsible Internet
use by sending a person's website history to chosen Accountability
partners. The program is extremely difficult to bypass.
- Our unique Filtering software is ideal for families with
younger children whose parents wish to block objectionable content.
- Be a part of your children's online experience. Explore the
Internet as a family. Use this as a time to teach them Internet
Safety.
- Explain to your children that not all websites are safe.
There are predators and criminals using the Internet to scam
people and steal personal information. Before buying anything
online, tell your children that you need to be with them.
- * If pornographic pop-ups suddenly appear on your screen
or you accidentally visit a porn site, do the following: 1.)
Immediately press the 'Alt' key and then the 'F4' key, which
is at the top of the keyboard. This will close out the pop up.
If more come, continue to hold down the Alt key and press the
F4 key. 2.) A second option is to immediately turn off the monitor
and manually turn off your computer by holding the on / off button
in for a few seconds. Encourage family members to communicate
this information to you.
- If you receive 'Spam' email, do not click on a link in the
message unless you are certain of its credibility. These types
of email contain links to websites and in some cases are 'mini'
websites. Use the Internet with 'purpose', not just to surf around
and see what things look like. It is a powerful tool and needs
to be used with great respect.
- Use anti-virus software. There are free versions and paid
for versions. Perform the 'auto update' regularly to keep it
current. Consider using a 'firewall' and other helpful programs
including a spam blocker. AVG-free is one of the most popular
and very effective.
